Each Thanksgiving family members gather together around the dinner table to express their gratitude for one another, and of course the delicious meal they are about to consume.
But thankfulness should not be reserved for one day out of the year. We should spend some time each day reflecting on the things that we are grateful for.
Practicing gratitude daily can help you recognize the positives in your life instead of focusing on the negatives. And being thankful for all the good things you have can actually make you happier.
“I am happy because I’m grateful. I choose to be grateful. That gratitude allows me to be happy.” – Will Arnett
One of the ways I practice gratitude daily is by keeping a gratitude journal. Every night before going to bed, I write down one or two things I am grateful for.
Choosing to be grateful allows me to focus on the positive things in my life as opposed to dwelling on or giving power to negativity.
Gratitude is something we should all make a conscious effort to practice more of. Quotes have a way of inspiring us, so I have put together a list of some of the best gratitude quotes to help encourage you to be more thankful.
