If you’re short on time and  looking for a tasty meal that you can throw together pretty quickly, this Skillet Ground Beef and Rice dinner is for you!

This is not a complicated meal to prepare.  And you probably have most of the pantry ingredients on hand already.

Beef and rice are your main ingredients and you can season it up to suit your family’s taste buds.  You can add additional vegetables if you’d like.  For more of a Mexican flair, add a little more cumin and some chili powder.

Can I use a different type of meat?

Yes. Feel free to use ground turkey, ground chicken or ground pork. If you use ground chicken, consider adding a little extra seasoning to help increase the flavor.

What type of rice works best in this recipe?

I like to use long grain rice in this recipe but you can use most any rice, however you may have to adjust the cooking time according to the type that you use.
